20 Years ago the legendary Norwegian car journalist Jon Winding Sørensen asked me to draw a sketch of a possible future Saab Sonnet. The resulting little sketch was very inspired by the stunningly beautiful Sonett Super Sport concept from around 1954. Instead of a plastic body I went for textile over supporting tensioning rods, much like the ones you find on a sail. The perforated lower sill i kept basically intact. Looks still ok. after 20 years, but on the other hand, my inspiration the Sonett Super Sport is over 60 years old imagine that!
